The stabilized plants, flowers and trees are 100% natural and totally ecological

Plant stabilization is the result of a unique conservation process that replaces natural sap with a preservative. This substance, similar to sugar, is 100% biodegradable.

Thanks to this natural preservation technique, stabilized plants and flowers retain their flexibility and natural freshness without any maintenance. They do not require any watering, no lighting or temperature conditions. No special treatment and their lifespan is around 10 years.

These plants and flowers are therefore ideal for weddings, unique gifts, interior decoration, fashion accessories and innovative products.

The Process

Plants are stabilized at the time of their life cycle when they present their most beautiful appearanceThanks to this natural preservation technique, stabilized plants and flowers retain their flexibility and natural freshness without any maintenance.

Thanks to this natural preservation technique, stabilized plants and flowers retain their flexibility and natural freshness without any maintenance.

For optimal results, plants are stabilized at the time of their life cycle when they present their most beautiful appearance. They are harvested under optimal conditions of respect for the environment and the natural renewal of plants.

They are then sorted before going to the stabilization room, positioned in gutters - immersed by the feet. During this step, the plant's sap evaporates and after a few days, it is completely replaced by the new liquid - a mixture of vegetable glycerin, water, substrate and food colouring. Before a final quality control, the plants are rinsed and dried. They are then ready for use....

This global process can take between 7 and 20 days depending on the size of the plants to be stabilized. Each plant has its own stabilization characteristics: period, liquid temperature, ambient temperature, water quality, raw material, substrate type... It will therefore not be possible to stabilize a plant outside its favourable period. This makes inventory management more complex, but always less so than with fresh plants.

A little history

There are patents dealing with stabilization dating back to the 1980s. Several methods have been developed with varying degrees of success. Freeze-drying has in particular shaded stabilized plants because they are often wrongly compared.... It was in the 1990s that an association between scientists democratized stabilized plants. Together, they have developed an advanced technology that allows the installation of a real stabilization plant in France.

The appearance of vertical gardens and roses & eternal roses has made it possible to make stabilized plants known to the general public.

Origin

Today, many producers exist throughout the world. Each one has specialized according to the plants available on site. There are stabilized plant producers in Europe (Italy - France - Spain - Germany - Hungary...), Asia (Japan - China - Thailand...), Africa (South Africa - Kenya - Tunisia...), North America (USA - Canada...) and especially South America (Ecuador - Colombia...) where most stabilized flowers are produced.

Our partners are committed to an optimized carbon footprint supply. As far as possible, we prefer local European producers. In the case of imports, we prefer to use the boat rather than the plane as a means of transporting the goods.

Life expectancy

It is difficult to talk about life span for stabilized plants and flowers. Indeed, several factors strongly influence the evolution of plants over time: exposure to sunlight, humidity levels, handling...

Each plant behaves differently over time. Some plants lose their colour slightly while others darken. Some curl up, others bend...

In any case, we cannot give a precise duration: the plant does not change its condition radically from one day to the next! However, it can be said that, under optimal conditions of use, stabilized plants and flowers remain beautiful for many years.

Terms and conditions of use

The stabilized plants are 100% natural. This is why it is necessary to respect certain rules in order to ensure optimal beauty and durability:

  • Only for indoor use
  • Fragile - Avoid touching plants: they will not grow back
  • Do not water
  • Avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight behind glass
  • Do not expose too close to a heat source (radiator, halogen, chimney...)
  • Recommended humidity level below 70%.

The benefits include

  • No watering.
  • No special maintenance such as pruning, fertilizing or repotting.
  • No need for light.
  • No particular temperature.
  • No dangerous toxins
  • No parasites.
  • Non-allergenic, does not emit CO2.
  • Participates in soundproofing.
  • All the qualities of real plants without the disadvantages.
